Letz Volunteer welcomes you to the aromatic and vibrant experience that is India. The Letz team has worked hard at creating strong ties with amazing grass roots charities that work within local communities of India so that we can facilitate responsible volunteering opportunities at an affordable price.
Letz Volunteer’s Indian programs are based at an orphanage in Vellatur and Moparru, located roughly six hours from Hyderabad.
You will be working with locals to provide housing and facilities for 100 orphans - assisting with the continued construction of various buildings and commencing work on a new medical centre. Also, despite English being one of the main languages spoken in India, conversational standards are usually very poor - during the volunteer program, there will be lots of opportunity to assist children and adults alike to enhance their understanding of the English language. Knowledge of english greatly increases any opportunities in life for those is developing nations such as India.
No trade skills are required for this volunteer position, although any professional expertise would be gladly welcomed. Not only will you be making an immediate and personal impact on the communities but many of these projects you will work on help provide a stable income for locals, which can then be put back into the community.
